Today I got to play golf! I love to get on the course, swing the sticks, and enjoy the serenity a golf course provides. Even if it is in Houston, TX! Preparing for today required some extra planning.
- 07:15 - Shake (Have I mentioned how much I like these?)
- 09:45 - Cheerios (Struggled to get these down dry)
- 12:30 - Bar (easy eating!)
- 03:30 - Mustard & Onion Straws (this is a pretty good snack)
- 18:30 - Fish (for the first time on plan!) with vegetables
- 21:30 - Shake
- Drank over 150 ounces of water, 50 ounces of PowerAde, 1 Zevia, a couple pickle slices & nuts.
I was surprised at how much the heat took out of me today, and I was not properly prepared for that. As I get healthier and stronger, then this will go away. Just another part of my body adjusting.
What I did prepare for was how to eat. Knowing I was going to be on the course meant I would need easy to eat food, which is why I chose the dry goods today. That was definitely the right call.
Today was also my first real temptation day.
The fundraiser had Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, snacks on the golf course, and BBQ for lunch.
I avoided the dining room before and after so that I could limit my exposure to it. However, the BBQ smell hit me outside the door as I was walking by and I got immediate hunger pains.
BUT!!!
I did not eat it!
I have to remain committed to doing the right thing!
Lesson I take away from Day 6
- Definitely need to be conscientious with how much physical exertion a person puts in while in the fat-burning phase. The body is adjusting, so need to recognize that it takes time, and that is OK.
- Walk away from temptations.
Things I encouraged myself with
- I can do hard things! That is one of my why statements.
